William Volcov, a filmmaker and professional photographer with nearly 20 years of experience, I create content for corporate events, advertising agencies, influencers, and major brands, as well as tourism and fashion editorials. I lead a production company that assembles efficient, tailored teams for each client.
I founded News Free in 2009, which became Brazil Photo Press in 2012—now one of the leading photojournalism agencies in Brazil. Through it, I built strong connections with global media outlets, had my work published on major platforms, directed photographers, helped them grow professionally, and served as chief photo editor.
Since 2016, I’ve been based in New York as an international correspondent, covering U.S. elections and, as a permanent reporter at the United Nations, documenting multiple General Assemblies and state visits, bringing global issues to life through photos and videos.
Since 2007, I’ve covered high-profile global events across more than 10 countries, including Germany, Canada, the U.S., Qatar, and Russia. My portfolio includes FIFA World Cups (2014, 2018, 2022), FIFA Women’s World Cups (2011, 2015), Copa América 2024, the 2016 Olympics, the Pan American Games, and FIFA Club World Cups (2019, 2022). In the fashion world, I’ve covered over 20 São Paulo Fashion Weeks, several New York Fashion Weeks, and other iconic events. In 2010, I was honored with the Prêmio Jovem Brasileiro for Photography, a key milestone that propelled me deeper into the audiovisual industry.
Passionate about technology, audiovisual production, gastronomy, and New York tourism, I also work as a digital influencer, sharing insights and experiences on YouTube and Instagram (@WilliamVolcov). After living for extended periods in São Paulo and Barcelona, I now continue to reinvent visual storytelling from New York City.
